"I am eternally grateful for the wonderful teachers and mentors that have made such a huge impact in my life and my teachings: teacher, longtime friend and mentor Maggie Kavanagh - former owner of Yoga Haven, and now owner of Tara Shanti in Crawford Bay, BC - who brought yoga into my life many years ago; my cousin and Acutonics mentor, Ron Laplace, who followed the “path” long before many knew there was another way; Gert Van Leeuwen, teacher, author and creator of Critical Alignment Therapy; teacher, mentor and friend, Sherryn Rault of Sheryoga Therapy, whose understanding of Critical Alignment Therapy and compassion never ceases to amaze me; my dear friend and mentor Theresa Evans of Midwest Clinical Somatics & Stonepath Yoga in Sister Bay, Wisconsin who found the truth of Somatics and opened the door to Somatics here in Calgary; and last but not least - Martha Peterson of Essential Somatics in Denver, Colorado, who eats, sleeps and breathes Somatics, and whose mission is to have Somatics internationally recognized for its therapeutic value and to make those teachings available on a global scale and help people help themselves out of pain."
